Daphne and I both had a great time at the CCWESTT conference last week. We saw quite a few of our local Victoria DAWEG members there; we hope they found it as engaging and informative as we did.
The best part of the conference, of course, was reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.Thank you to SCWIST and Janet of CCWESTT for sending a spare ticket our way. I was happy to see that the University of Victoria, UVic, was such an enthusiastic sponsor.
On a side note, I found that a lot of the content was aimed at large firms and government institutions which isn’t my background. With small businesses employing close to 68% of employees in the private sector1; perhaps that can be one of the themes of a future convention?
